Some info about my formal training and career....
- Education_ I studied Cosmetology at vocational career school my junior & senior year of highschool at Lake County Highschool Tech Campus in Grayslake, Illinois. This required 1500 hours of practical (performing services) and technical (Milady Standard textbook) studies to graduate and become a licensed professional. I also am required in order to keep my license active by Illinois law, 14 hours of legally registered continued education every 2 years (This cannot be any old class-must be a registered legal educator or program). So this keeps me up to date in beauty trends and techniques as well as sanitation policies. We are recently required to take a domestic violence class bi-annually as well.
- Work experience_ I started in a small town family owned salon for many years, doing color, hair cutting, waxing manis & pedis and everything in between. I then worked in places like ULTA & AVEDA salons, growing my product knowledge and skills in skincare, hair care and makeup.
- Skills_ The past 10 years I have been working all over Dominican Republic, mainly in weddings, really perfecting my skills in HAIRSTYLING and MAKEUP.
- I have been featured in numerous blogs and wedding publications, including -----> Style Me Pretty.
